Last night around 10pm RBVFC was dispatched to a working structure fire at the Lighthouse Restaurant in Dewey Beach, 124 Dickinson Ave. I was on the second engine to arrive on-scene (86-3) and manned a 2 1/2 inch line from the south side of the hotel/restaurant, dumping as much water as possible on what was left of the newly constructed back deck bar/restaurant area. Surround and drown.

This morning I was curious to see what was left and what it looked like in the daylight, so I flew the drone to get a better look at the aftermath. Gallery is below.

Still amazes me how fast a good fire can kick your ass. Many thanks to the folks at Lewes, Bethany and Indian River fire depts that came to assist us.
